Let the Gamesmanship Begin PDF Print E-mail
Written by Philip Clapham

Fellow Sydneysiders,

With more than 4 months out to the inaugural National 09 tournament we are in need to get more numbers to take a strong team to Noosa.

If any of you have been on any of the previous away trips then you will know how much fun it is to play 2 days straight golf and every night is a party. If you are stressed at work or at home maybe this is the tonic you need to park your problems and get away from it for 2 days up at Noosa.

This year we are going to have the added bonus of really competing at a club level for the Origin Cup and general bragging rights agains the Prissy Brissy's, Kiwi's and Bok's, as well as at individual level (and all the side betting that goes with it).

To be honest for me personally the prizes are secondary to really competing for something more than material prizes and the excitement that it brings. I am fortunate to have competed in such event but if you have not had the opporutunity before then grab this one and register VERY SOON as places are filling up. You will notice that on the Monthly Registration Form I have added a 'will you be going to the nationals' question which is mandatory to tick. From this we should get a good idea who is interested and we can then follow up with you.

To get you in the competitive mood, I have been corresponding by email to our Ex-National President and National Co-ordinator/Honary Queenslander Wayne Richardson who is quoted as saying the following

" The fact that Brisbane is leading the race in entries is a great sign that we want to win the "Origin Cup". We have the superior golfers up here to give you our southern rivals a lesson in golf. "

Are you really going to let him get away with such slander?
